"The dark Guinness goes bullseye on the cardboard coaster" is stellar. "It's not a question but it's wrapped in one" stopped me in my tracks too. Similar to Anthony's comment, I didn't see it coming either. After giving it another read, there are a few subtle hints that this interplay is all in his head, but nothing that I think would lead the reader to figure it out until it smacks them in the face. Well done.

I liked your story. I didn't see it coming until the very end. Read it a second time and couldn't believe I didn't see it coming sooner the first time I read it. Sometimes I'm a little slow:) Really liked your descriptions of the bartender pouring the drinks. Made me want a Guinness. You might consider adding some more attribution to the dialogue. I found myself back tracking a couple of times to make sure I knew who was speaking. Also, I think if you paraphrased the bartenders dialogue (instead of putting it in quotes) it would make Unc and Amy seem more real (since their words would be in quotes) It's something that Chuck talks about in Consider This. He paraphrased the narrator's dialogue in Fight Club. Just a thought.
